Yovan Radenkovich (1903-1979)

Yovan Radenkovich was born May 11, 1903 in Belarada, Yugoslavia. He Married Jeann Bealieu October 5, 1979 in Sharon, CT. He came to the United States November 1, 1934 on the Lafayette, became naturalized May 7, 1935, and married Jeann Bealiue in Sharon, Connecticut on October 5, 1979. For many years he lived in New York, New York and Gloucester, Massachusetts.
In 1938 he wrote Moods and Moments published by Oquaga Press. In Massachusetts, he had the Yovan School of Contemporary Art. Around 1960 Radenkovich moved to Cornwall and lived out the rest of his life. In Who Was Who in American Art he was listed as a portrait painter, mural painter, architect, lecturer, teacher, and writer. He died October 23, 1979 in Cornwall, though he is buried in Sharon.
