Research Service Information Research Facilities: The Cornwall Historical Society has on file resources to help with genealogical questions and to provide information about aspects of local history. In addition the Society has a large collection of photographs. Use: Inquiries in person are welcome during seasonal open hours and by appointment. CornHistSoc@optonline.net Fees: Society volunteers will do a free preliminary 15-minute search of our collections. If additional research time would be worthwhile and potential resources and facilities are identified, you may request further research, for which a fee of $15.00 per hour will be charged. • Simple copying charges: $0.25 per page. • Color or special size copies: $0.75 Photographs: Copies of photographs will require two weeks processing, and there is a separate policy covering their use. Any person or entity requesting research services shall hold harmless the Cornwall Historical Society, staff and volunteers from any legal claims or damages arising from or out of any information provided as a result of the Research Service. For patrons requesting 35 mm color slides, the fees are:
Digital Images and Scans Digital Images and Scans The Cornwall Historical Society will attempt to grant all requests for digital images. However, there may be instances where obtaining a high-resolution (or publishable) digital scan is not possible due to equipment and staff restraints. Existing Digital Images For patrons wishing to obtain and existing digital image, the fees are:

Color Prints Prints from Existing Negatives The fees for color prints made from existing negatives are:
Prints from New Negatives If the negative does not exist for the image requested, we will first need to prepare a negative from the original material before a print can be produced. Keep in mind that this will also require addition time. The fees are:
Permission Fees for Public Use Purchase or rental of photographic material from the Cornwall Historical Society does NOT constitute an authorization to display, publish, or reproduce that material. Permission is granted through contract ONLY. The amount of the authorization fee is dependent upon the nature and purpose of the publication or display involved. Images obtained for personal use, rather than public use, do not usually require payment of a permission fee. All rights granted are non-exclusive and one-time. Use fees are:

Prices are subject to change without notice. Orders requiring RUSH services (less than four weeks notice) are subject to addition service fees. Additional charges may apply for special circumstances. We require payment in full in advance of all orders.
