Monetary Contributions Donations made through our Annual Appeal fund the majority of our operating budget. Without the generosity of our supporters, we would not be able to provide the programs and services that are valued by the Cornwall community and by scholars near and far. NEW! Donations to the Collection As part of its Mission, the Cornwall Historical Society continues to add items that give both extensiveness and depth to the collection. The most important source of new acquisitions comes through donations from members of the Cornwall community, their relatives and friends as well as those who are fond of the town and northwestern Connecticut. The CHS will be pleased to consider possible acquisition of a broad spectrum of materials that will either enhance items already in the collection or add a new aspect to the collection. Preference is given to items which are unique to Cornwall's history. Volunteers Volunteers for the Cornwall Historical Society serve as weekend docents for exhibits, assist with organizing the collections, and help researchers find out more about Cornwall history and genealogy. Student interns are currently assisting with the digitization of the collections. |
